  1. Thank you for trying the WinSpeech text-to-speech product from PC WholeWare.
  2. This is a shareware version of the WinSpeech 3.0N.  You may use it as long as 
  3. needed for the purpose of evaluation.  You are not allowed to use the software
  4. in this package which include but not limited to the WinSpeech program, the 
  5. Dictionary Editor program and the text-to-speech DLL for any purposes other 
  6. than the evaluation or the demonstration of the WinSpeech program.

  44. .Sound card is recommended for Windows 95, and is required for Windows NT.

  47. (This program does not run on Windows 3.1x.  If you are running Windows 3.1x
  48.  please get the WinSpeech 3.0.  WinSpeech 3.0 has the same functionality as 
  49.  3.0N and is designed for the 16-bit Windows.)

  52. ---------------------------------- TO INSTALL --------------------------------

  54. If you have previous versions of WinSpeech (registered or shareware) program
  55. installed in your system,  You can proceed with the setup if you plan to 
  56. install this WinSpeech 3.0N version to the same directory as before.  The 
  57. setup program will overwrite your old files with new files and leave user-
  58. created files untouched.  You should manually remove the following files:
  59.  
  60. For WinSpeech 1.0, 2.0 users:   Remove "wspeech.ini" from Windows directory.
  61. For WinSpeech 3.0 users:        Remove "wspeech.ini" from Windows directory.
  62.                                 Remove "wsplib20.dll" and "wspkey.dll" from 
  63.                                 Windows system directory.

  66. To proceed with the installation:

  68. For Windows 95 or NT 4.0 users:  Select "Run" from the "Start" menu on the 
  69. Task bar.  Type "a:setup" (or "b:setup") then press <Enter>.  Follow the 
  70. online instuctions to finish the setup.

  72. For Windows NT 3.x users:  Select "Run" from the "File" menu in the Program
  73. Manager.   Type "a:setup" (or "b:setup") then press <Enter>.  Follow the 
  74. online instuctions to finish the setup.

  80. WinSpeech 3.0N comes with an uninstall program that can clean up all the 
  81. installed files and the Registry for you.  Please refer to Appendix D in the 
  82. Help manual for uninstall instructions.
